This SMS Privacy Policy explains how LUMASTEM UTAH LLC (“Lumastem”, “the Practice”, “we”) of 1780 West 700 North, Lindon, UT 84042 collects, uses, and protects information when you send and receive text messages (SMS/MMS) with us through our patient-communication platform, Pabau. It supplements the Pabau Privacy Policy.
Information we collect for text messaging
When you take part in Lumastem’s text-messaging programme, the following information is processed:
- Your name and mobile phone number;
- Your appointment details (such as dates, times, and the service booked);
- Your text-messaging opt-in consent record (when, where, and how you provided your mobile number); and
- The content of messages you exchange with Lumastem.
How this information is used
This information is used solely to operate Lumastem’s patient-messaging programme: sending appointment confirmations and reminders, aftercare and pre-care instructions, follow-ups relating to your care, and replies to enquiries you send us. Message frequency varies depending on your appointments and interactions with the Practice. How you opt in is described at pabau.com/sms-opt-in.
No sharing of mobile information for marketing
No mobile information will be shared with, or sold to, third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text-messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.
Mobile information is shared only with service providers acting on our behalf (such as telecommunications carriers and our SMS delivery provider) and only to the extent strictly necessary to deliver the messages described above.
Consent, opt-out, and help
- You consent to receive text messages from LUMASTEM UTAH LLC when you provide your mobile phone number — for example when booking online, over the phone, or in person.
- Message and data rates may apply, according to your mobile carrier plan.
- You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message. You will receive a single confirmation message, after which no further texts will be sent to you.

Opting out of text messages does not affect other ways Lumastem may contact you about your care.
Security and retention
Messaging data is stored securely and retained in line with Lumastem’s record-keeping obligations and the Pabau Privacy Policy.
