Site Reliability Engineer

WHO WE ARE:

Pabau Clinic Software is a bootstrapped software company founded in the UK, based in Skopje. We’ve built Pabau CRM, a product tailored to the clinical sector, making health professional’s lives easier by handling appointment scheduling, storing treatment notes and a bunch of other things too.

THE ROLE:

We are looking for a Site Reliability Engineer to join our team and develop software systems and automated solutions for operational aspects “using” engineers with software expertise to solve complex problems. This role must ensure reliable support in building and integrating software tools to enhance an organizational system’s reliability and scalability. You will be working closely with our DevOps team and seek to bridge the gap between operations and development teams to deliver software faster.

OBJECTIVES OF THIS ROLE:

  1. Run the production environment by monitoring availability and taking a holistic view of system health
  2. Build software and systems to manage platform infrastructure and applications
  3. Improve reliability, quality, and time-to-market of our suite of software solutions
  4. Measure and optimize system performance, with an eye toward pushing our capabilities forward, getting ahead of customer needs, and innovating for continual improvement
  5. Provide primary operational support and engineering for multiple large-scale distributed software applications

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Create triggers, thresholds, and trigger pyramids
  2. Correlate problems reported from QA/CS to a NR/Zabbix graph
  3. Alerts set up on Slack and mobile phone etc

Zabbix plugins

  1. Creating new NewRelic dashboards and search queries
  2. Monitoring of version numbers
  3. Constantly add ignore and blacklist of logs to reduce monthly cost
  4. Spot any PII and add to blacklist

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Proven work experience as a Site Reliability Engineer or similar role
  2. Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in computer science or related discipline
  3. Proactive approach to identifying problems, performance bottlenecks, and areas for improvement
  4. Collaborate and communicate asynchronously
  5. Have an enthusiastic, go-for-it attitude
  6. Relevant training and/or certifications as a Site Reliability Engineer
