7 best Zenoti alternatives for UAE practices and salons in 2026

Key takeaways

Pabau, our own practice management platform, is the strongest fit for DHA, MOHAP and DoH-licensed practices that need records, consent and prescribing together.

Mangomint and Boulevard suit multi-branch med spas, while Fresha and Vagaro fit salons with no regulated treatments.

GlossGenius works for solo injectors and Mindbody for class-led wellness, but neither publishes an AED price.

Every pick below carries a UAE Compliance Fit read: your regulator, your mainland or free-zone license, and AED billing with 5% VAT.

Zenoti publishes no prices and no contract terms on its own pricing page, so any comparison with it starts on a sales call.

Zenoti alternatives worth a UAE practice’s time come down to seven platforms: Pabau, Fresha, GlossGenius, Vagaro, Boulevard, Mangomint and Mindbody. Which one fits depends less on features than on who licenses your site.

Start with what Zenoti costs, because that is usually the trigger. Zenoti’s own pricing page publishes no figures at all. Every plan, from Salon and Spa through to Medspa, routes through a Get a Quote button, and the page states no contract length either.

So a Dubai practice comparing budgets begins with a sales call rather than a number. Most teams we speak to have already lived inside Zenoti’s appointment book and like it. What sends them looking is the rest of the bill.

The Zenoti round-ups already ranking for this search don’t mention the UAE once. None names DHA, MOHAP or DoH. None prices in dirhams. None asks where a vendor stores patient data under Federal Law No. 2 of 2019.

This one does all three. Each pick below carries a UAE Compliance Fit read, scored on three points.

The first is which health regulator its typical buyer answers to. The second is whether its data handling suits a mainland or free-zone license. The third is whether it bills in dirhams and handles 5% VAT.

One disclosure before the list. Pabau is our platform, so it sits first. Every price and every compliance read below comes from the vendor’s own website, so you can check each one yourself.

Zenoti alternatives compared: Pricing, contract terms and UAE Compliance Fit

On published pricing, Pabau is the cheapest clinic-grade option among these Zenoti alternatives, at AED 228 per user per month. Vagaro is the cheapest salon-grade option at AED 99 per bookable calendar.

Every figure in the table converts from the currency each vendor publishes. The dirham is pegged at AED 3.6725 to the US dollar, a rate the Central Bank has held since 1997, so dollar prices convert cleanly. Vagaro served us pounds, which convert at AED 4.97.

Now scale that to a three-branch practice with 15 staff. Only two of the seven let you compute a year’s cost from their own sites. Mangomint charges $120 per location plus $10 per user, so 12 months comes to AED 22,476.

Boulevard’s Essentials tier is $176 per location and covers five professionals at each, which lands at AED 23,269 for the year. The other five quote multi-site pricing on a call, and that includes us.

The entry prices are worth seeing side by side, because the unit behind each one is different.

Vagaro looks ten times cheaper than GlossGenius until you notice one bar buys a calendar and the other buys a whole practice. Figures from each vendor’s own pricing page.

1. Pabau: Best for DHA, MOHAP and DoH-licensed practices

Rating4.7/5★★★★★Top pick
The bottom line

Pabau holds the patient record, the consent form and the invoice for one appointment in a single file.

Who it’s for
  • Aesthetic and medical practices licensed by DHA, MOHAP or DoH
  • Med spas outgrowing a salon-first platform
  • Multi-branch groups standardizing patient records
  • Owners who want GDPR and HIPAA in one platform
PricingFrom AED 228/monthone user, full platform
What works
  • Every subscription includes every feature
  • ePrescribe, treatment notes and consent in the patient file
  • Taxes configurable on invoices for 5% VAT
What doesn’t
  • No published AED price list
  • Multi-user pricing quoted on a call
  • Structured onboarding rather than a self-serve trial

Pabau is an all-in-one practice management system built for medical aesthetics, and it fits UAE practices that answer to a health regulator. The clinical side is where it separates from salon-first platforms.

Treatment notes, consent per treatment, before-and-after photos, ePrescribe, labs and diagnostic codes sit in the same patient file as the appointment and the invoice. A DHA inspector asking for a consent form gets one screen instead of four.

Two money details matter for a UAE practice. Pabau’s point of sale carries a taxes setting, so a 5% VAT line can sit on an invoice for an elective treatment. And every subscription includes every feature.

That second point is the one that bites on a Zenoti bill. Online booking, marketing, reporting and inventory don’t arrive later as add-ons priced per branch. Those four sit in the subscription you already pay for.

On data, we publish the answer we’re telling you to demand from everyone else. Application data sits on DigitalOcean with London as the primary production region. Patient files and encrypted backups sit on Amazon Web Services in London.

Further regions are available on request, and regional storage for non-UK customers is under evaluation. There is no UAE region today. For a DHCC or DHA-licensed practice, that is a conversation to have before signing, not after.

Pricing is per user and per location, and it starts at $62 a month for one user with the full platform. Annual billing saves up to 20%, and every tier is listed on Pabau’s own pricing page.

2. Fresha: Best for salons and spas that want marketplace bookings

Rating4.8/5★★★★★
The bottom line

Fresha puts a salon in front of marketplace shoppers and charges for the extras only when you use them.

Who it’s for
  • Salons, spas and barbershops
  • Beauty businesses that want marketplace discovery
  • Solo practitioners testing a monthly subscription
  • Teams that want no minimum term
PricingNo published figurequoted by a calculator on their site
What works
  • No minimum commitment or long-term contract
  • Core features included, add-ons billed per use
  • Seven-day free trial for teams
What doesn’t
  • No fixed price on a readable page
  • Salon-first, not built for regulated treatments
  • Marketplace listings sit you beside competitors

Fresha suits a UAE salon or spa with no regulated treatments, because its strength is marketplace visibility rather than clinical records. Fresha is the only platform here that doubles as a distribution channel.

That cuts both ways. A client searching for your salon lands on a page where competitors are listed beside you. Listings are templated too, so you sit inside Fresha’s brand rather than your own. For a salon chasing new footfall in Dubai Marina, that trade can be worth it.

For a licensed aesthetic practice it usually isn’t. Fresha’s own FAQ describes a flexible monthly subscription with no minimum commitment. Core features are included, and add-ons like payment processing are billed only as you use them.

3. GlossGenius: Best for solo injectors and small med spas

Rating4.8/5★★★★★
The bottom line

GlossGenius charges one flat 2.6% on every card transaction, with no extra fee for tap-to-pay or card-on-file.

Who it’s for
  • Solo estheticians and injectors
  • Small med spas wanting charting on a light platform
  • Teams under 10 on the Gold tier
  • Owners who want one flat processing rate
PricingFrom AED 617/monthPractice Essentials, med spa tier
What works
  • No contracts and free data transfer
  • Flat 2.6% processing on every payment method
  • Med spa tiers add charting and forms
What doesn’t
  • Prices published in US dollars only
  • Multi-location pricing routed to sales
  • No free plan, by their own admission

GlossGenius fits a solo injector or a small med spa that is content to be billed in US dollars at a flat rate. The processing rate is the headline: 2.6% on every method, with no surcharge for tap-to-pay, card-on-file or manual entry.

For a UAE practice, the med spa tiers are the relevant ones. Practice Essentials and Practice Advanced add charting and forms that the beauty and wellness tiers don’t carry, which is what a regulated treatment record needs.

Depth still stops short of a full patient file. There is no ePrescribe, no labs and no diagnostic coding, so a DoH-licensed medical practice will outgrow it. GlossGenius also routes any multi-location conversation to its sales team.

Annual billing takes 12% to 14% off every tier, and GlossGenius states there are no contracts and that data transfer is free. Our note on GlossGenius pricing tracks the tiers as they change.

4. Vagaro: Best for budget salons paying per practitioner

Rating4.7/5★★★★★
The bottom line

Vagaro's per-calendar pricing means a salon pays for its practitioners and not for its front desk.

Who it’s for
  • Salons, spas and barbershops on a budget
  • Solo practitioners who want a low entry price
  • Businesses adding features one add-on at a time
  • Teams that want to cancel without a fee
PricingFrom AED 99/monthone bookable calendar
What works
  • Cancel any time with no cancellation fee
  • Features priced separately, so you buy what you use
  • Lowest published entry price of the seven
What doesn’t
  • Add-ons stack up fast on the monthly bill
  • Salon-first, with no clinical record depth
  • The free card reader ties you to 12 months of processing

Vagaro’s pricing unit is the bookable calendar, which Vagaro defines as one person performing services. Front-desk staff don’t count, so a salon with four practitioners and two receptionists pays for four.

That makes the entry price the lowest here by a wide margin. The catch is that most of what a growing business wants is a separate line item. Forms, text marketing, a branded app and a QuickBooks connection are each priced on their own.

Vagaro also has no clinical record depth, so it belongs on the salon side of the line. A Sharjah salon offering only beauty services will be fine. A MOHAP-licensed aesthetic practice will not.

Vagaro served us its UK price list, so those figures convert from pounds at AED 4.97. There is no published AED price list. Vagaro’s free card reader also requires 12 months of processing with its merchant service, or a £100 early cancellation fee.

5. Boulevard: Best for multi-branch med spas run from the front desk

Rating4.6/5★★★★★
The bottom line

Boulevard bills by location, and from the Premier tier up the professional count stops moving the bill.

Who it’s for
  • Multi-location med spas and salons
  • Front-desk-heavy businesses with complex booking
  • Groups that want ePrescribe and charting
  • Owners who prefer a per-location bill
PricingFrom AED 646/monthEssentials, per location
What works
  • Per-location pricing, so headcount doesn't change it
  • ePrescribe, forms and charting on the platform
  • An onboarding specialist handles the data migration
What doesn’t
  • Prices published in US dollars only
  • Essentials caps you at five professionals
  • The Duo point of sale is a required purchase for payments

Boulevard prices per location rather than per user, which makes it predictable for a UAE group opening a third or fourth branch. Add three injectors and the subscription doesn’t move on the Premier tier or above.

The platform is built around the front desk. Scheduling, client profiles, self-booking and payments are the core, and the AI receptionist answers calls that would otherwise go to voicemail. ePrescribe, forms and charting sit alongside them for med spa work.

Two practicalities matter before a UAE group commits. Payments require buying the Boulevard Duo point-of-sale hardware. Boulevard’s onboarding team also decides case by case which data it can bring across from your old platform.

Those are Boulevard’s standard prices. A limited-time offer for new customers currently drops Essentials to AED 514 per location, so check whether it still stands when you quote.

6. Mangomint: Best for groups that want one flat per-location bill

Rating5.0/5★★★★★
The bottom line

Mangomint publishes its whole formula, so a three-branch practice can price a year before it books a demo.

Who it’s for
  • Salons, spas and med spas of any size
  • Multi-location groups that want a simple formula
  • Teams that want payroll and phone on one bill
  • Owners who want to price it themselves
PricingFrom AED 477/monthone location plus one user
What works
  • The full pricing formula is published, add-ons included
  • Free onboarding and data transfer
  • Cancel any time
What doesn’t
  • Prices published in US dollars only
  • Phone, marketing and payroll all cost extra
  • Salon-first heritage, lighter on clinical records

Mangomint publishes the entire formula, which is rare in this market. The base is $120 per location per month, users are $10 each, and every optional extra carries its own listed price.

That transparency is worth more than it sounds when you are sizing a switch. Mangomint is one of only two platforms here where a 15-staff, three-branch UAE practice can price 12 months unaided.

Feature-wise, Mangomint covers forms and charting, memberships, retail and multi-location reporting. Mangomint is a strong salon and spa platform with med spa reach, rather than a clinical system. A DHA-licensed medical practice will still want prescribing and labs elsewhere.

A three-branch, 15-staff practice therefore pays AED 22,476 for 12 months of the core platform. Mangomint also states that onboarding and data transfer are free and that you can cancel any time. Our guide to Mangomint pricing works through the add-ons.

7. Mindbody: Best for wellness businesses selling classes and memberships

Rating4.0/5★★★★★
The bottom line

Mindbody sells memberships, classes and marketplace discovery well, and quotes all three of its tiers.

Who it’s for
  • Wellness centers, fitness studios and day spas
  • Businesses selling classes and memberships
  • Teams that want marketplace discovery
  • Groups needing unlimited user logins
PricingNo published figureall three tiers quoted
What works
  • Unlimited users on every tier
  • Data migration support included
  • One-to-one setup and training included
What doesn’t
  • No published price on any tier
  • Built around classes and memberships, not treatments
  • The AI concierge and branded app sit on the top tier or as add-ons

Mindbody publishes three tiers, called Starter, Accelerate and Ultimate. None of them carries a price. Each one shows a Let’s talk button, which puts Mindbody in the same position as Zenoti for a UAE buyer trying to compare budgets.

What the site does commit to is useful. Unlimited users on every tier, data migration support, and one-to-one setup and training are all listed as included rather than sold as extras.

The product shape is the sharper filter. Mindbody is built around classes, memberships and its consumer marketplace, so a Dubai wellness center or yoga studio fits naturally. An injectables practice keeping treatment records does not.

Pricing

PlanUsersPriceKey inclusions
StarterUnlimitedContact sales, no published pricingBooking, payments, reporting, marketplace listing
AccelerateUnlimitedContact sales, no published pricingStarter plus analytics and resource management
UltimateUnlimitedContact sales, no published pricingAccelerate plus email and SMS marketing

Mindbody publishes no figure on any tier, so a UAE buyer cannot size it from the page at all. Treat the quote call as step one rather than a formality.

UAE licensing and compliance: DHA, MOHAP, DoH and free-zone rules to check before switching

Your regulator follows your address: DHA licenses Dubai, DoH licenses Abu Dhabi, and MOHAP licenses the northern emirates. That single fact decides what your software has to hold.

DHA runs Dubai through its Sheryan licensing system. DoH covers Abu Dhabi and Al Ain, with services reached through the TAMM portal. MOHAP covers Sharjah, Ajman, Umm Al Quwain, Fujairah and Ras Al Khaimah, and some of those emirates also run a local authority alongside it.

Table of UAE health regulators by location.
The bottom row is the one that changes a software decision, because a salon with no regulated treatments answers to no health regulator at all. Drawn from the authorities’ published remits.

Free-zone licensing adds a second question. A practice inside Dubai Healthcare City has historically licensed through the zone’s own regulator rather than DHA, and that split has shifted since 2021. Confirm which authority covers your specific site before a software decision rests on it.

Then there is where the data physically sits, and this is the part no round-up mentions. Federal Law No. 2 of 2019 prohibits storing, processing or transferring UAE health data outside the UAE. The exception has to be agreed by your health authority and MOHAP.

Legal commentary on the law puts the fine for a localization breach between AED 500,000 and AED 700,000. So for a licensed practice, a vendor’s hosting region is a compliance question, not an IT preference.

Pabau publishes where patient files sit, on a security page anyone can read. The honest answer for the UAE is London, with other regions on request. Ask every shortlisted vendor for the same answer in writing.

Five questions are worth putting to a vendor before you sign a contract:

  • Where do our patient files and database backups physically sit today?
  • Can you provide a UAE region, or a written exception agreed with our health authority?
  • Does the patient record hold consent per treatment, treatment notes and practitioner license numbers?
  • Can an invoice carry a 5% VAT line for elective and cosmetic treatments?
  • What happens to our data if we cancel, and how quickly do we get it back?

The VAT question catches people out. Preventive and basic healthcare is zero-rated in the UAE. Purely cosmetic and elective work is standard-rated at 5%. So one practice can be issuing both kinds of invoice from the same platform.

Salon platform or clinic-grade software: Choosing by UAE practice type

If a health regulator licenses your treatments, buy clinic-grade software. If only a trade license covers you, a salon platform is enough and cheaper.

That is the whole decision, and the UAE Compliance Fit column in the table above is how each pick scores on it. Applied to the seven, it comes out like this:

  • DHA, MOHAP or DoH-licensed aesthetic or medical practice: Pabau first, then Boulevard or GlossGenius’s med spa tiers.
  • Med spa outgrowing a salon platform: Pabau or Mangomint.
  • Multi-branch group that wants a predictable bill: Mangomint or Boulevard.
  • Salon, spa or barbershop with no regulated treatments: Fresha or Vagaro.
  • Wellness center selling classes and memberships: Mindbody.

The practical difference between the two groups is documentation. A regulated practice has to capture and hold four records:

  • Consent signed for each specific treatment
  • What was injected, and in what quantity
  • The batch number of the product used
  • Before-and-after photos tied to the same patient timeline

A salon platform will store a client note and a photo. It won’t hold the structure an inspector asks for. That is the line worth drawing before you compare a single price.

If Zenoti is specifically what you are leaving, our wider round-up of Zenoti competitors profiles most of these platforms in more depth.

And once the shortlist is down to two, you can compare Pabau side by side against the platforms it most often replaces.

How Pabau handles a switch from Zenoti in the UAE

A switch off Zenoti is mostly a data question. Client records, appointment history, memberships and inventory all have to land intact, and the practice can’t stop taking bookings while it happens.

Pabau’s onboarding team runs that migration. Every new practice gets a dedicated Client Coordinator and a documented portal covering the setup, so nobody is working it out alone. There is no free trial, and that is deliberate.

A platform this deep, set up badly, is worse than the one you left. Structured onboarding is what gets booking rules, forms, payment flows and communications configured for how your practice actually runs.

After go-live, the parts a UAE practice notices are the ones a salon platform never had. Consent sits per treatment in the patient file. ePrescribe, labs and diagnostic codes are there. Invoices can carry a 5% VAT line. Multi-location settings cover a three-branch group on one subscription.

See a UAE patient file, consent and AED invoice together

Pabau keeps the consent form, the treatment note and the invoice for one appointment in a single patient file, with taxes configurable for 5% VAT. Book a 30-minute demo and we will walk it through with your own practice type and branch count.

Pabau practice management dashboard

Conclusion

The honest verdict is that most of this shortlist is priced for a US salon rather than a Dubai practice. Two of the seven publish enough for a three-branch group to compute a year’s cost, and not one of them publishes a dirham.

So choose on the two questions that outlast a price list. Does the patient record satisfy the authority that licenses you, and will the vendor tell you in writing where your data sits? A platform that fails either question will fail later, expensively.

The trade-off worth remembering is that transparency and depth rarely arrive together here. Mangomint gives you the clearest number, Pabau gives you the clinical record, and the rest ask you to phone first. Book a demo to see how Pabau holds consent, treatment notes and AED invoicing in one patient file.

Frequently asked questions

Is Zenoti a CRM tool?

Zenoti is salon, spa and med spa management software with CRM features built in, not a standalone CRM. Client profiles, segmentation and marketing all sit inside it. The platform is built to run daily operations rather than to manage a sales pipeline. A licensed practice usually needs the patient record at the center instead of the marketing contact.

Do I need DHA or MOHAP approval to use practice management software in the UAE?

No, the software itself needs no separate DHA or MOHAP approval, but your records must satisfy whichever authority licenses your facility. In practice that means consent per treatment, treatment notes and practitioner license numbers held in the patient file. Federal Law No. 2 of 2019 adds one more duty. You need to know where the vendor stores that data, because UAE health data stays in the UAE unless your health authority agrees otherwise.

Can UAE practices pay for practice management software in AED?

Rarely, because none of the seven platforms compared here publishes an AED price list on its own website. Prices appear in US dollars or pounds, and the dirham’s fixed peg of 3.6725 to the dollar makes the conversion predictable. Put AED invoicing and 5% VAT handling on the agenda for the demo call, alongside the question of where your data is hosted.

What is the cheapest Zenoti alternative for a UAE salon?

Vagaro is the cheapest on published pricing, at roughly AED 99 a month for one bookable calendar. None of the seven offers a genuinely free plan, and GlossGenius states plainly that it has none. Add-ons are where a low headline price grows, so price the forms, marketing and app modules you will actually switch on.
