How Dr Jaisyn Clinic quadrupled its appointments on zero marketing spend
Dr Jaisyn Patel left the NHS to run his London aesthetics practice full time. A year after moving to Pabau, he books four times as many appointments a month and bills 3.4 times as much. Bookings, reminders, notes and payments now run through one system, and the growth came on zero marketing spend.

The challenge
A stack of folders and five systems to check every morning
Dr Patel started in aesthetics while still working NHS shifts. Notes went on paper, a new folder every month, until the desk was stacked with them. Before and after photos sat in a folder on his laptop. Bookings came in by phone, email and WhatsApp.
Notes written at the end of a long day
Six patients in a three-hour session left no time to write up as he went. The notes got done afterwards, from memory.
Having a paper system of any kind in 2026 is just not needed. You tend to write down things after, and this can be at the end of the day as well. You’re very tempted if you’re busy back to back … you tend to sit down at the end of the day, jot a few things down and file it away.”
Records he couldn’t send securely
A patient who moved to Australia asked for her treatment records to pass to her new practitioner. It was a fair request, and a hard one to meet from a folder.
I had a really good example of someone who moved to Australia, and she asked for her records … so that she could present it to her new practitioner. First of all, it took me a couple days to dig it up. And second of all, I’m sending a picture on WhatsApp to her. So it’s not the most professional or the most secure way of doing it.”
Five systems for one calendar
Each morning meant a calendar, an inbox for confirmations, WhatsApp, a ringing phone and a stack of paper notes. Paper had worked at 20 or 30 patients. It wouldn’t work at the hundreds he was heading for.
Instead of having five, six different systems, I really wanted one all-encompassing in-house system where I know people can book in easily online, they can follow the link, they get a confirmation email, all the communications are set out in front of them.”
Why Pabau
He looked at Pabau in 2024, waited a year, and came back ready to grow
Dr Patel first spoke to our team in July 2024. He had a handful of patients and chose to wait until the practice could fund a proper system.
Instead of settling for, let’s say, a cheaper system, I was just holding fire.”
A year later he left the NHS to make the practice his full-time focus. This time the brief was growth, automation and marketing. He signed in July 2025 and took his first online bookings the same month.
- Jul 2024First enquiry. Holds fire rather than settle for a cheaper system.
- 12 monthsKeeps running on paper, phone and WhatsApp.
- Jul 2025Goes full time, signs, and online booking goes live.
- Aug 202544appointments in his first full month
- Jul 2026180appointments a month, 80% with returning patients
Why Pabau won the second time
NHS training had sent him through a different hospital system with every rotation. That made him a quick judge of software.
You kind of become a little bit proficient in what makes a good user interface and what makes a bad one. As soon as I had the demo from Pabau, it all seemed quite seamless.”
The other deciding factor was branding. Booking pages and patient emails carry the practice’s own look, so patients see Dr Jaisyn Clinic, not a software company.
The way you can incorporate your own branding and make it really your own … I think that’s what drew me to Pabau rather than some other competitors.”
The solution
A day at Dr Jaisyn Clinic, step by step
“I’m the director, the doctor and the admin team,” he says. Here’s how a day runs now, and the task each step takes off his desk.
Before clinic
Replaces: A morning across calendar, inbox and WhatsApp
The day’s calendar on his phone
He checks bookings, cancellations and reschedules on Pabau GO, our iOS app for practitioners, before he leaves home.
At the desk
Replaces: A phone call to book a consultation
Patients book themselves
New consultations come through online booking, with a confirmation sent on the spot. When he writes a new treatment protocol, the service is on the booking page in about three clicks.
Consultation
Replaces: End-of-day write-ups
Forms on the iPad, notes drafted for him
He hands the patient an iPad for consent forms and medical history. Pabau Scribe, our AI scribe, listens to the half-hour treatment planning conversation and drafts the notes for him to review.
Treatment
Replaces: A photo folder on a laptop
Photos on the patient record
Before and after photos go straight onto the patient’s record. The next time someone moves abroad, their file is a click away.
Checkout
Replaces: A separate system for payments
One checkout, one card reader
He checks the patient out on the laptop and the amount appears on the card reader. Every payment in the practice runs through Pabau.
After the visit
Replaces: Manual emails and chasing
Automations keep in touch
Aftercare goes out on its own. Unpaid invoices get a reminder. When a treatment is due again in three to four months, a recall email lands without him lifting a finger.
Having those multiple automations just going up is like having a team of admin staff, just doing everything for you.”

The results
Twelve months of data from his own Pabau account
We pulled the practice’s numbers straight from Pabau to see where the growth came from.

The growth came from patients coming back
80%of July 2026 appointments were with returning patients
The calendar didn’t fill with a wave of new faces. It was filled with patients who came back. In July 2026, 80% of his appointments were with returning patients. Recall, aftercare and follow-up emails go out on their own, so he stays in touch without the admin.
Since implementing Pabau, I have quadrupled my appointments per month … And this is from zero administrative spend and zero marketing spend.”
Four jobs the system does for him
We asked what nearly 200 appointments a month would take without Pabau. His answer is below, in his words. Under it, the four jobs and what runs each one now.
“I would really need to have about five members of my team. One to man the phone and get all the bookings in, one to contact all the patients before and after, confirm their appointment. I would definitely need a receptionist to take all the payments.”

Patients know what to expect
Asked for the main problem Pabau solves, Dr Patel didn’t name a feature. He named transparency.
When someone books in for an appointment, the time is there, the duration, the cost, and all the pre-care, aftercare information is sent out automatically to them … They really enjoy the fact that they come in, they know what to expect … There’s no surprises there.”
Free to focus on his patients
Every message, reminder and payment chase that runs on its own is time back with the patient in front of him.
I can really develop my skills further as a clinician, because I don’t have to sit there and send manual emails to each patient. I don’t have to chase up payments. I don’t have to chase up appointment rescheduling reminders.”
Revenue tripled year on year
Reports show him every invoiced line, every cancellation, payment and every pound of discount, with the reason behind each one. That’s how he knows where the growth came from and what to work on in year two.
Since I’ve implemented Pabau a year ago, I’ve seen my revenue triple year on year … Having deeper insights into your business is really important. We focus a lot as clinicians on each appointment, but having that, essentially, a business manager in your team, that’s where Pabau comes in.”
It basically becomes part of your brand, part of your clinic, and it becomes another member of your team.
